About
A compliance audit practice rooted in Taiwan’s payments corridor.
Anchor & Ledger Compliance was formed to give fintech operators an independent reader of their ledgers, exception queues, and onboarding files—before a supervisor or investor becomes that reader.
Origin
The practice began in Tainan after years spent inside payment operations and credit-risk reviews. We saw capable teams lose weeks reconstructing evidence that should have been sample-ready. Anchor & Ledger exists to examine controls with the same seriousness those teams bring to moving money—without pretending to sell them another product.
How we work
Engagements stay deliberately small. A lead auditor owns the memorandum; specialists join for lending samples or AML walkthroughs when the product mix requires it. We prefer walkthroughs beside the people who clear breaks and alerts, because policies rarely confess their own gaps.
Values that show up in the file
- Specificity — Findings name the control, the sample, and the consequence.
- Proportion — Severity ratings reflect operational impact, not rhetorical flourish.
- Respect for cut-offs — We schedule around settlement calendars, not against them.
- Independence — We do not implement the systems we review or take referral fees from vendors.
Relationship to clients
We work for compliance officers, finance controllers, and founders who need an outside view without theatre. Clients keep ownership of remediation; we return for follow-up sampling only when invited and scoped anew.
Community & place
Our office address remains in 臺南縣, with travel to Taipei and Hsinchu when operations floors sit there. We write findings in English for cross-border partners and can support bilingual walkthroughs when your staff prefer Mandarin discussion with English deliverables.
