Lending Portfolio Review
Assessment of underwriting files, collections hand-offs, and provisioning notes for consumer and SME digital lenders.
A Lending Portfolio Review looks at how loan files actually move from application to collections—not only what the credit policy claims. We sample originations, late-stage accounts, and write-off packets to see whether approvals, overrides, and provisioning notes hold together.
Who it is for
Consumer instalment lenders, SME invoice financiers, and marketplace credit desks that need an outside view before raising capital or answering questions from a banking partner.
What you receive
A segmented findings brief covering underwriting overrides, missing affordability evidence, collections hand-off delays, and documentation that would frustrate a diligent reader of the loan file. We include a short appendix listing sampled account identifiers for your internal follow-up.
Process
Kickoff confirms the portfolio slices to sample. We then pull files, interview underwriters and collectors, and draft findings with severity ratings. A closing call walks through recommended containment steps for the highest-rated issues.
Preparation
Export a population list with origination dates, product codes, and current status. Provide the credit policy versions that applied during the sample window. If overrides require dual approval, keep those approval trails available.
